Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival at TIA and Transfer to the hotel

We will welcome you at the Airport and transport you to the respective hotel.

Day 2

Drive to domestic airport to fly to Lukla and then trek to Phakding (2610m).

After Breakfast our trekking guide will pick you from your hotel and drive you to domestic airport to alight you in morning flight to Lukla which takes just around 30 minutes. Once we reach Lukla, we will begin trekking along Dudh Koshi River. We will stop at Yeti Mountain Home lodge for lunch Post lunch we will start trekking to Phakding. This trail is mostly downhill passing by prayer stones, Sherpa villages and farms. We will spend our night in Yeti Mountain Lodge.

Day 3

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3400m)

Have hot tea and delicious breakfast in the morning and then start trekking towards Namche. You will now enter Everest National Park as is visible by serene ambience of pine forest. Ahead is the confluence of Bhotekoshi and Dudhkoshi which you will cross on a suspension bridge. Be prepared to make a steep uphill walk to reach Namche where you will get the first view of Everest. Overnight in Yeti Mountain Lodge.

Day 4

Acclimatisation day in Namche.

You can hike to Khumjung and return. Today is an acclimatization day. You can either spend your day visiting monastery, Sherpa museum and enjoying Sherpa culture or you can hike to Khumjung/Khunde. Namche Bazaar is ancient trading place where goods come from Tibet. Namche beautiful views of Thamserku. The hike to Khumjung passes over a knoll and along Kongde ridge that offers classic views of Thamserku (6623m) and Ama Dablam. Overnight in Yeti Mountain Lodge.

Day 13

Departure day

Time to go home and tell your friends and family of the fun and adventure had on your trek in Nepal. Or, you could extend your trip. We can arrange many other tours and trips for you, such as: Chitwan Jungle Safari, River Rafting Adventure, Scenic Flight, Cycling or even another trek in a different region. Nepal Trekking Routes would be both pleased and honored to be at your service.

Day 6

Acclimatisation in Thame.

This is another day for acclimatisation. You will have time to visit the wooden Thame Monastery and then trek to Sumdur Peak to observe magnificent views of Teng Kangpoche, Kongde and Everest. Afterwards return to Thame. Overnight in Yeti Mountain Lodge.

Day 7

Trek the new trail to Kongde (4250m)

The trail from Thame to Kongde initially follows the Bhote Kosi River before then climbing gradually through beautiful rhododendron, pine and bamboo forest. Ahead the glacier of Kongde Peak provides magnificent views of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. This trail was recently carved out by the Yeti Mountain Home lodge. Kongde sits at an altitude of 4250 metres looking out over to Namche and Thyangboche valleys, with Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam on the horizon. Overnight in Yeti Mountain Lodge.

Day 8

Acclimatisation day at Kongde

You can spend the whole day relaxing at the lodge. Alternatively take an exciting hike to the viewpoint of Farak Ri (5000m) to watch beautiful views of Khumbu Valley and a panorama of four highest peaks in the world: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. Overnight in Yeti Mountain Lodge.

Day 9

Trek down to Phakding (2610m)

Today you will make one of the longest trek however this is an easy one as you descend from Kongde to Phakding. Follow the Dudh Kosi river catching views of magnificent peaks and Sherpa settlements. Overnight in Yeti Mountain Lodge.

Day 10

Trek back to Lukla.

It will take 3-4 hour to reach Lukla of our last trekking day. Once you reach Lukla, you will have whole afternoon to relax, visit local shops and visit the Tenzing Hillary Airport. Overnight in Yeti Mountain Lodge.

Day 11

Fly to Kathmandu.

Take an early morning flight to Kathmandu enjoying birds eye views of mountains and valleys beneath. In Kathmandu you will be driven back to your hotel. Rest of the day is free for relaxing and shopping. Overnight in hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 12

Free day in Kathmandu.

Spend a whole day sightseeing, relaxing and last minute shopping. Overnight in hotel in Kathmandu.

    All meals are included in holiday price from dinner on day 1 to breakfast on day 13
    The restaurants at Yeti mountain Home lodges offer a wide range of dishes prepared by trained chefs, ranging from local cuisine to international dishes. Breakfast will usually be porridge, eggs, bread and a hot drink, lunch will be a simple meal with a hot drink, and dinner will be 3 courses consisting of soup, main meal and a simple desert. If you wish to order additional dishes and/or snacks, you should budget accordingly.
